Welcome to Perth Medal Mounting
We are a professional and timely medal mounting service based in Perth, Western Australia. This service starts from $35 per full size medal. All you need to do is bring your medals in for us to inspect and offer the most appropriate method of mounting and display.
We traditionally sew mount our medals, rather than glue them as is common practice today. We do not use cardboard in regards to the backing material we use for full-size medals, as over time this will start to bend inwards and will begin to fall apart from the inside.
To ensure medals are mounted in the correct way, we have reference guides to ensure that the medals are mounted in the correct order, according to the policy laid out by the Australian Honours and Awards System.
The default wearing style of medals is court-mounted, meaning the medals and pin back are sewn into a hard backing. On request, we can mount your medals in the traditional swing style.
You will need to contact us with your requirements as we will need to know how many and which type of medals you need mounting.
Other services we offer are supplying replica medals, badges, ribbon bars and other related items to add to your medals for wearing or framing.
Miniature medal replicas can also be supplied and mounted, which is a great way for kids to participate in proudly wearing a set of medals for ANZAC or Remembrance Day.

What is the turnaround for medal mounting?
We have a full time in-house medal mounter and will take 2 days to 1 week depending on the amount of orders we have and how many groups we need to mount for your order. If you require your medals for a special occasion and need them done quicker, please let us know and we can work with you.
*Turnaround time may be longer due to ordering supplies or the amount of groups being mounted.
When should I get them to you in order to have them completed for ANZAC Day?
Cut off for Anzac Day orders will be announced in early to mid April. To ensure you have your medals in time, it is best to place your order with us in February or March.
Where are you located?
We are at Unit 2/135 Russell St Morley 6062. This is 2 doors down from Officeworks heading away from the Morley Galleria, directly across from Namaste Indian Grocer.
How do I go about ordering a replica medal set if I don't know what my relative was entitled to?
We can assist with military records searches. Please contact us if you require this service. Fees apply.
What if I have a replica set that needs additional replicas added?
To save money on your medal mounting order, please bring in or send us your existing replica medal set for us to include those replicas with the new ones you require. Please note ribbon bars are not needed, as we make these new.
What mounting options to do offer?
We offer both court or swing mounting. Court mounting is our primary and recommended option. This means the medals are mounted onto a firm backing and hand sewn into place. For court mounting, you can choose between the traditional long brooch pin or stud pins. Swing mounting is the traditional style but not recommended, where the medals hang directly from the wearing pin. It is not recommended as the medals knock against each other and over time the medals will show scratches and pitting marks.
